How Relationships Are Supposed to Work:
The job of women is to let men think that they’re in charge of everything and are the smartest and best at everything everrrrr, even though it’s really the woman running things.
The job of men is to let women think that they’re the cleverest and most charming and most capable everrrrr, even though it’s really the man running things.
This approach is otherwise known as original sin. A broader target for the serpent may be hard to find.
A cynic would say both approaches are really just stroking the other’s ego.
Might get banned for this, but hey, you only live twice. ;-)
She can stop stroking my ego, as long as she strokes… something else. :-D
I’m a lapsed Catholic who realized at 27 that it wasn’t worth waiting for that perfect woman to appear. Wasn’t worth waiting. Ridiculous.
And afterwards, I wondered what the big deal was anyway.
I’ll omit the rant about the current LTR, it’s not important. It underscores the importance of finding someone you can live with, though. (and given the risks inherent in marriage, i’ll pass, thank you very much. I’m sure No Fault Divorce was in the Lord’s plan, too. And being impoverished, and not seeing my children (should I have any), and all the other risks. I can’t set them aside unless she can also set them aside. She is unable to, as they are the apparatchik of the State. therefore, I cannot trust her. END of story. Churches are filled with Godly (–less) women. All misunderstood little dears who had Mr Perfect until they weren’t happy. May they die alone. We all do, anyway.)
